    • This stock has always been a pleasure for us. The way others are touted I have to wonder what's going on under the table. This steady Eddie is a keeper in my book.

      Totally O.T. but a great stock (and good entry point now) is TAYD. They have a lock on wood frame residential properties in Ca. as well as their industrial contracts. I purchased shopping cart loads when it traded at $3 and under several years ago. FYI.

      Nationstar buying mortgage assets for $880 mln
      7:31a ET May 14, 2012

      NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Nationstar Mortgage Holdings Inc. said Monday it'll pay about $880 million to buy mortgage servicing assets and other assets from Residential Capital LLC through a U.S. Bankruptcty Code sale process. Nationstar said the deal will make it the largest non-bank residential mortgage loan servicer and one of the largest residential loan originators in the U.S. The deal includes $700 million in cash for mortgage servicing rights plus $180 million for related servicing advance receivables. ----Newcastle Investment Corp. , an affiliate of Fortress Investment Group , will co-invest in the transaction.

      +++++++++++++++

      I bought both NCT shares and options before the above announcemnt despite Mark's comment's, NCT is up strong today.

    • NRF did a SPO becasue they have a huge pipeline of loans that are committed to close within the comming quarter. NRF said they see 17% returns on these. NRF is also actively buying debt in its CDO. Much of this debt is owned by European banks that need to unload this stuff; the result to NRF is potentially significant. Check out NRF's latest earnings report and you'll clearly see why they are raising money.

      NCT did its SPO becasue they needed money to fund commitments in excess MSRs; they recently partnered with NationStar Morgtage.

    • NRF also did another offering. Remember one of the rules of mREITs: they raise equity whenever they can, not when they need to.

      I don't have any positions in either of these but my friend bob beck from the TCK board has about convinced me about NCT.

    • Mark, I can't see NET issuing another SPO so soon, it issued 16.5MM shares this month. Also, there's little risk, NET has an EPS of $3.09 and a miniscule book value of $1.22 (prior to current offering) for a rediculously low P/E of 2.25

    • Where's MTGE in your list?
