    Some Conference Call highlights

    - Real strength this quarter attributed to MRV's strong sales in Metro Ethernet in Europe.

    - Total optical sales grew from $12 to $14.6 million, including $9.7 million related to FTTP and $7 million from the sale of Triplexers (at $100 a piece - approx. 70,000 triplexers).

    - From Q3, to Q4, Gross margins increased from 11% to 14% (Labor cost savings - 15%; Increased production efficiency - 15%)

    - Total cash increase by $8 million to $84 million.

    - Total inventories reduced to $42.3 million.

    - Right now, optical production is at MRV's plant in Taiwan, with the transition occuring next quarter to contract manufacturing facility in China (to further reduce labor cost). There may be some overlapping production costs during this transition. MRV's Chatworth, CA facility will be converted to R & D and testing facility.

    - CEO noted that VZ passed 1 million homes in 2004 and expects 2 million homes in 2005. Take rates in Keller, TX, have been 20%, so far.

    - Right now, very little revs. generated from SBC and really nothing from BLS at this time; Still to early.

    - NTT still evaluating technology it will adopt (EPON vs. GPON).

    - With regard to expected deal with LU for Ethernet sales, CEO said "be patient and bear with us".

    - Infineon still has its triplexer facility and did not sell it to FNSR.

    - Overall outlook for MRV's next Q is good.
