This message board is like a ghost town.

Because AOL is progressively becoming irrelevant. Dividend date has passed and people are now focusing on more worthy investments. AOL has no competitive advantages. It’s a portal in decline trying desperately trying to reinvent itself as a media company. 2012 will be remembered as AOL's dead cat bounce.

    • AOL's site actually isn't that bad. I think the finance page is very good and competitive to yahoo and cnbc. The thing that they should add is a message board. As for the whole site, the content is pretty good and the advertising should come very soon. Perhaps someone will buy them out? They are only a 2.6 billion dollar company and it would not be that expensive for google, yahoo, or microsoft (the most likely player as they own bing and there could be some consolidation in the space). This might not be likely, but it's just some food for thought.
