What? Selling assets to put the money to better use is savvy business! Why you think it's not "Sustainable" to do such a thing. It's actually rather smart. I think we see AOL pop a top at $41 by June 2013 IMHO. Makes for a nice Bull/ Bear spread Call/Put Option play here. See you in the Money!
Selling assets to boost profits isn't sustainable. AOL is relying heavily on the media revenue it hopes to generate. However in my opinion this area is so competitive that AOL has little chance to achieve any real growth and is a very late player to the game as far as carving out any meaningful market for themselves. They have a captive subscription based market that is in decline not growing.
