I a newbie into the stock world. I bought this stock because Warren Buffet has it and it was at it's 52 week low. After owning it a few weeks and reading you guys I'm looking for some reason to hold on. Do you guys think this stock is coming back? How long will it take? And why are you sure?
make sure this company gets its balance sheet (net assets) positive before going any further with this company...and make sure that a democrat doesn't get in and turn the health care system upside down into managed socialized medicine....in either case id say your 6 months away before making a decision
Do you guys really think this country's medical system is going to the Canadian system? I lived in Canada before, I can tell you here is absolutely no way the US is going that way. Reason? In Canada, for a sample procedure like cat scan, almost everyone has to wait for months, if not a year. Foa many serious problems, this may b way too late.
UNH a great buy here, it will possibly double over the coming 6 months!!!
I think Obama will win from democrat, but will fail to win presidency.Even if he wins ,what I can judge from his nature is,he will make certain changes(not revolutionary ) ,but nothing mazor. On the other hand if clinton wins than there is more problems ,but I think chances of it are very minimum. Stocks has priced in lot of bad news already and I am hope full of seeing it around $40.
I too were watching this stock even before Buffet bought some of it. But being in the Medical Field.......an MD mentioned to me that this UNH does not pay good....so may be UNH is loosing customers?????????? I am still hesitant to take a gamble in this.... I followed Buffet when he bought some USB and when the banks came down I was able to buy it lower than when he got it.....I am happy with it. Take Care!
I think they have too much reliance on medicaid and medicare membership now, which isn't as profitable. ...but they'll be buying back an absolute ton of stock in the next 3 quarters which will help EPS. Also if they integrate their recent aquisitions well, that could work to their favor with some cost savings. The medical cost ratio isn't deteriorating significantly and that's a big thing with investing in any HMO.
