Oh I’ve had a few runs over the years. Bought in the Late 80's. Yum, Yum. Been a nice Ride. The thing is/was Blue Cross and Blue sch. were running the price of health care up way back then. UNHC came out to compete against the monopoly of health care and to offer some competition to set a few prices. DR. were charging without regulation. Now UNH keeps, or attempts to keep Dr. and Hospital fees in a manageable margin. Sure some may say “at taxpayers’ expense but in reality, without HMO’s play in the medical field, we would see unregulated and uncontrolled fees from the hospital administration, and Dr.’s I mean free market I get, but who really is worth multi millions a year in bonuses? Even a monkey can pull levers. Personally I want to thank Mr. Richard Berke for his letter to all shareholders telling us back then he had plans to go big. I only wish I had money to support him then, but It was my last year of college. Working 40+ and renting an apartment. Actually road a CB 650 Honda to work and back into in South Dakota hoping to find a deal on an auto for the winter Burr. Ahh life is all about the ride and not the final destination lol.
