Unions Do Not Create Jobs or Businesses
I have never been given a job by a union. Unions do not create businesses. Unions do serve a role against abusive employment practices upon workers, but unions can shut businesses down, like Hostess in Seattle, Hostess the maker of Twinkies and Ding Dongs. Union workers striking outside a factory that is permanently closed is a waste of time.
Unions broke E.A. Nord Co. in Everett, WA after 4 years of general strike, the company went out of business because it could not compete with non-union door plants. Unions often hurt the members badly.
