    MUSIC TO YOUR EARS

Ther,s always the possibility technological advances will improve the ability to extract additional resources extending the shelf life : this would be a winter

    Sentiment: Hold

    • Interesting that you two have opposite points of view, yet you are both completely wrong !

G_Rat: Improving the production rate would actually DECREASE the life of this trust, not extend the shelf life.

Liza: This trust's life is COMPLETELY dependent on the amount of resources that can be extracted! When 9.11 MMBOE have been produced, the trust dies, period. Only the length of time it will take to reach this production volume is in question. Current estimate: trust has about 3 more years to run.

Of course with a current dividend yield north of 50%, there is still plenty of money to be made.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

      • Have you ran the math out?
3 calendar years but how many payments? This has 10 payments left.
        @ $0.51 = $5.10 off of $4.50 unit price. 13% total return. Annualized out that's 5.2%

This trust is priced about right.

I am very aware of that and have been posting about it here for years. Clearly the original poster was suggesting that technology would allow then to produce much more and I was pointing out it would make no difference as the trust would not participate in extra production beyond the defined limit.

    • If you knew anything about WHX you would understand that remark is completely inapplicable to this trust as its life time is in no way dependent on the amount of resources that can be extracted. Suggest to know something about the vehicle before making misleading comments.
