With 8 more distributions possible, and using a max distribution of $0.45, the calculation of this trust's value is $3.60 - less than half of its current trading price. How is this possible? Who is falsely believing this symbol's value to be any more? I believe many folks are not reading / understanding the prospectus on this trust, and are going to be very hurt by the pending price decline. This trading symbol (WHX) will be worth zero ($0.00) after the last distribution (currently slated for May 2013).
if you include reasonable rate of return on your money - given the risk of the investment - value is about $3.30. Covered my short today, before the huge drop but am not complaining. Got my price target :) I'll be a buyer in the mid $3s and a seller in the $6s.
Price will go back up as folks chase that 36% yield :)
Not a date, but they do give a very exact statement on the total amount of oil equivalent which will be produced by the trust. And it is that number, not the time, which determines how much more the trust has left to pay out. The time taken is pretty irrelevant, in fact the shorter the better as most people prefer to get their money sooner rather than later.
