      Energy Transfer Approves Distribution Increases
Tuesday January 22, 7:00 am ET

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. (NYSE:ETP - News) and Energy Transfer Equity, L.P. (NYSE:ETE - News) today announced that the Board of Directors of each Partnership has approved the previously announced management recommendations for distribution increases to their respective unitholders. Each Partnership will have a one-time four-month distribution to complete the conversion to a calendar year end from the previous August 31 fiscal year end.
After this distribution payment, both Partnerships will continue to make quarterly distributions on a three-month basis as they have done in the past. Going forward, the new quarterly distribution payment schedule will be mid February, mid May, mid August, and mid November.

ETP’s four-month distribution amount will be $1.1250 per unit ($3.375 per unit annualized), representing a distribution of $0.84375 per unit for the three-month period and $0.28125 per unit for the additional month. This represents an increase of $0.075 per unit on an annualized basis. ETP’s distribution will be paid on February 14, 2008 to unitholders of record as of the close of business on February 1, 2008

    • $4.50 equals 8.6% of the share price. Good income play.

    • unbelievable but they just raised our dividend 30 cents to 1.125 payable 2/14 yippee!

    • Yahoo! uses that last dividend [but let's call them 'distributions' so as to not confuse the newbies] as a run rate for their calculations. The last announced DISTRIBUTION by ETP was for four months - and not for a quarter - as they are changing their calendar year.

"The last announced DISTRIBUTION by ETP was for four months"

Reporting sites and organizations just let the computers run. They do not do their basic homework.

I once had a stock that paid 2 times a year, one dividend larger than the other each year. That made for some strange and inaccurate numbers on all the sites. Pays one to keep up on message board and do their own homework. I keep an online portfolio with flags to note any news for the equities I follow. Each day I check for news. Many useless, but others important. Like today MMP announced dist. increase #27 in a row if I remember correctly.

Have a nice day and payout dates are only a few weeks away. I get mine and spend it. Wheeeee!

I buy some stocks with Scottrade, and they have ETP with a dividend rate of 6.6%. I could stand some 8.6%, but I don't know where that number comes from. Good Luck in the market, jd
