I wonder if ETP will do the same?
Energy Transfer Equity, L.P. (NYSE:ETE) today announced that its Board of Directors has approved a quarterly distribution of $0.625 per unit ($2.50 annualized) on ETE’s outstanding common units for the quarter ended June 30, 2011. The quarterly distribution of $0.625 per unit represents an increase of 11.6%, or $0.26 per common unit on an annualized basis. The distribution will be paid on August 19, 2011 to unitholders of record as of the close of business on August 5, 2011.
ETP will almost certainly not do the same.
Most likely ETP's Q2 distribution will be unchanged.
P.S. This early and unexpected announcement is clearly an attempt to sway SUG owners in favor of ETE's bid. I don't expect it to work.
seems real early to announce 2nd qtr divi that's not on record til early august... looking back they (ete & etp) usually annonce around the same time if not the same time... i guess if you got good news let um know early, guess we wait til late july to hear?
