Florida Gas Transmission New Gas Turbines / FPL
There has been an ongoing project with 6 Siemens H Frame SGT6-8000H gas turbines since 11/2010. The first three will come on line in 2013 with the next in 2014. These turbines will be placed in service at the Riviera Beach (3) and Cape Canaveral (3) power stations. Each one of these turbines will produce 274MW each.
I haven't spent the time to determine how much each one of these new turbines will consume in gas volume, but I can guarantee you this will certainly be a nice increase in revenues for ETP as well as Kinder Morgan in the very near future. Just these six turbines are enough to power up 500,000 homes.
