You report using 3 K-1s. That is because of ETP owning more than 5% of both APU and SXL. THe 3 K-1s are seperate entities on the 1040. Positive numbers in basically line 1 thru 10 are reported on the appropriate form along with a couple of others. The numbers could go to as many as 8 different forms. Look at the instructions page. The tax program will put the numbers where they go correctly (many numbers are simply carried forward and not reported) You need to keep track of your basis in ETP using the front K-1 because that is your correct basis.for when you sell.
To answer the last question - do not attempt to insert the numbers yourself on each form. If you will simply create three K-1s in the interview and enter the numbers from Lines 1 thru 19 you can do it in about 10 minutes. Leave the addresses blank and simply reference the APU and SXL K-1 to the ETP K-1.
