On the surface, the numbers look good for 4Q. They had a loss of 51cents versus a consensus loss of 54cents. 4Q Revenue ($359M) was significantly higher than last year and nicely up from 3Q. I've haven't gone through all the fine print, but it looks like more of the same from APU: Solid execution and good results. GL to All.
"For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2005, the Partnership recorded a seasonal net loss of $28.4 million, or $0.51 per limited partner unit, compared with a loss of $32.8 million, or $0.60 per limited partner unit, for the prior-year period. Retail volumes sold in the quarter were 177.4 million gallons, slightly higher than the 175.5 million gallons sold in the prior year quarter. EBITDA for the period declined to $7.9 million from $8.6 million in last year's quarter. Revenue for the quarter totaled $359.3 million versus $312.9 million in the fiscal 2004 quarter principally due to higher selling prices reflecting significantly higher propane product costs."
I own APU and several other gas lp's plus I am buying more at this point! Gas is high etc but look at what we are paying for a bottle of wet water when we could be using tap water and if folks get cold enought they will use the water money for fuel money! Meantime just send me the dividends and I'll wait for a little price recovery!!! Strong buy!!!
