This is a solid stock. The drop in energy and oil markets will help, not hurt, propane retailers. They just add margin to the purchase and pass on to customers. Falling oil prices always benefit them as it lowers the cost and in most cases, selling prices remain stable.
The more I'm watching APU drop, the more it looks like that deflationary drop last Aug 2007 until the US Fed pulled the trigger on a rate cut.
Again the US Fed is late to the table on a rate cut this month wanting to wait until their meeting in a few weeks.
But economy and market is tanking so fast that its got people worried about a crash and burn rather than inflation the US Fed is worried about.
We'll see how things go from here. At some point APU will drop enough that the yield alone will get some folks wanting it for just the yield alone. But in this environment, its hard to say where that magic point will be.
