you want a higher yield? Go with MITT-PRB. I own preferreds by AGNC, CYS, HTS, MITT. Their prices in the short term are driven more by liquidity than fundamentals. AGNC is a larger company, been around for long time but after all it is NOT RATED like the others. So it's true they are bond but they are different animals in the same time.

With these preferred's you are essentially buying a bond, so you have to consider bond quality when pricing them.
That's why agncp carries a higher valuation.
I don't see cysp being worth what agncp is.
Also there is ARRPRA and CCGPRA which I have owned. I consider a Preferred as more of a debt like a Bond. I usually average about 50 percent of my investments in Debt. My Preferred investment include big banks, insurance, REIT and some Utilities. There is some trading profit to be had in addition to Dividends/Interest.
