Anyone have ideas on a strategy? The more consolidation in the market (in general) the more I want to start looking less at numbers and financials and more about products or services that major players are lacking.
Between the McAfee deal with Intel and now the Dell/3PAR/HP battle, I am hunting for buyout candidates. It seems like the only "sure thing" that has been happening in the market, is these companies being bought at a premium.
It's going to be some serious DD trying to find the plugs to these holes, but I figure if I am right on at least 2/10, or better - I should do pretty well.
My patience with THIS is also wearing thin, although I know I need to hold through Nov/Jan probably.
Sidenote: Anyone dabble in Royalty Trusts? I know someone that needs to park about $1m and generate some recurring income, albeit not necessarily a stable, consistent payout.
Hey Ashton, I made good money with PIR, never bought more after it dipped down. LVS is doing ok, but just like everything else, it will hit for a day and then drop $2. Let's hope Sept. gets better, hate Summer trading.
