    dividends or lack thereof

It seen the company is earning a reasonable profit, why not share part of that with the shareholders? Or maybe the CEO & other officiers are more intest on sharing those profits among themselves. Let's hear your reasoning for lack of a dividend policy.

    • SEAB is obviously a growing company. It just recently split its Gulf Coast operations into two divisions. What"s going to finance all this growth? It better not be debt, or some sort of equity offering. Dividends would only sap this potential growth. Growth must be financed organically, not artificially. Hence, you need dividends from this company like you need a hole in the head.

    • Seabright is a relatively new company. Management is using the cash to expand the business. As long as management is getting a decent return on the cash, there is no need for a dividend. If it gets to the point where management can't get as much bang for its buck, then a dividend policy makes sense. You knew there were no dividends when you bought. If you don't like it, sell.
