Fairly positive this isn't a new position... uncertain if it is replacing an employee or creation of an additonal position to handle increased activity. I would guess its putting things in order for some activity but....

The position reads as if it is a merger and BB&T exists. It was posted first week of January.

Judy, would you surmise the Home Depot fiasco would have any relationship here? I know it's a dumb question but.........

Hi Stil. No predictions here. My guess is BB&T will determine it's own future. I think it general bank is as good as anybody's. I'd like to see more growth in investment banking to level out the margin pressure. I'm no pro, but it looks like w/o investment banking revenues and other highly speculative activities the big boys wouldn't be doing so well. As for layoffs, I think W and BoA call it outsourcing.
