    BBT vs. AIB

Recently I was contemplating what to buy BBT or AIB. Those are two banks of the same size. Div yields are basically the same. Not much in terms of direct exposure to this subprime mess.

But AIB is much better diversified internationally. I especially like their central European kick. And AIB p/e is better. Better ratings, as well - not that I really care about those but still.

So for now I decided to go with AIB. Got it at $41. I might still consider BBT, though, if the price goes to 30.

XLF seems to be a good play for recovering financials. If only they had a better dividend!
