There were more shares traded on the close than traded all day (15.7 million on the close vs 15.1 million all day). Does anyone understand this? Seems to me that if it were short covering the stock would be up a ton.
About 500,000 shares at the close.Yahoo is not the best source for sure. Rigt now they show the last trade (5:16 unchanged), yet if you go here:http://www.nasdaq.com/aspxcontent/ExtendedTradingTrades.aspx?mkttype=after&symbol=BBT&selected=BBTyou will see there was a trade at 5:29 (substantial block) which was down over $1.
I do not know where you get your numbers, but I was showing 31.15 million before close traded.
At EXACTLY 4 pm my screen showed 15,184,000 shares. Did not show 31 million for another 10 minutes.
