I so love how naive Republicans try to pin problems at Fannie and Freddie on the Clinton Administration. Read these 3 lines in the speech of George W. Bush in acceptance of the Republican nomination for the Presidency at the 2004 Republican convention:
"Thanks to our policies, home ownership in America is at an all- time high. Tonight we set a new goal: 7 million more affordable homes in the next 10 years, so more American families will be able to open the door and say, "Welcome to my home. In an ownership society, more people will own their health plans and have the confidence of owning a piece of their retirement."
Face up to it. Frannie and Freddie ... Republican Problem. It's right there in George's 2004 speech to the Republican faithful ... THANKS TO REPUBLICANS, HOME OWNERSHIP IS AT AN ALL-TIME HIGH.
Yes, thank you PHUCKING, IDIOTIC, MORONIC Republican President George W. Bush. Thank you Republican Party. Thank you for wiping $3 Trillion in stock market value off the map. Thank you for this economic mess. Now, out with your sorry asses. Out on the street. It's time to give the Democrats an opportunity to clean up this mess.
Your one of the stupidest mother fukers on the planet. Seriously. SOME PEOPLE CAN'T BUY HOUSES JERK OFF. Get it? Social engineering ruined those two mortgage giants, which melted the derivatives market, shame on the greedy pricks on wall street. But you are seriously a stupid as s if you can't figure out the initial problem. Rebublicans had nothing to do with Fanny Freddie meltdown. Your just spewing the dem mantra like a koolaid drinking piece of sh*t that you are.
jforres, Can you not read? It was George W. Bush in the 2004 Republican Convention who took credit for expanding home ownership. And, he went on to announce an even more aggressive effort to expand it further. The only social engineering that happened at Freddie and Fannie was Republican led. It was Republicans who brought us to this point of an economic meltdown. It was Republicans who have destroyed over $3 Trillion in stock market wealth. It was Republicans who allowed a $54 Trillion CDS market to grow unregulated to the point that it very well may cause a worldwide economic collapse. And it is Republicans who need to have their sorry asses thrown out on the street in the upcoming election.
cpa you need to read the past 10 years of congress history. You also need to learn how our gov't works. All of our problems can be traced back to congress not the president. It actually started under Clinton's watch and just got worse under Bush. A dollar to a donut says you will re-elect the same idiots that caused all of our problems. Put the blame where it belongs. Congress makes the laws not the president. Biggest culprits in congress that deserve the blame are Franks, Dodd, Raines, Reid, Pelosi to name a few.
