So what you are saying is that when BBT announces that the dividend holds, 8% of the float won't think about covering before the price starts to rise to get the benefit of the dividend. Oh well, we will see? I think I will buy more and hold on to this conservative well run bank. JMHO
Please try and learn and stop making inane posts. The days to cover is simply a statistic that says if all shares changing hands were shorts covering it would take them 9 days to cover (based on average vol).
Shorts DO NOT have to cover over the next 9 days. They can stay short for weeks or months if they so choose.
