I liked this line from the annual report we all recently got:
"we intend to repay the government investment as soon as possible and free BB&T from the accompanying excessive government regulation, which is inconsistent with our free-market principles and harmful to our shareholders."
Amen. Can't happen soon enough for me. The more distance we put between us and Barack "Robin Hood" Obama and his merry band of tax cheats, the better.
"everything the gov. does turns sour- " Make sure you don't drive on any toll free roads, use electricity, drink water from municipal sources, eat food inspected by the FDA, live under the protection of the US Armed forces, chat on the internet, attend a public university etc. All the latter either developed by or subsidized by the government. You people are really anti-american. Want to live in a place with little government, move to Darfur or Somalia. Live in a state with no government and come back and see which you like better. Total dumbass you are.
As a die hard democrat that didn't vote for BO, I am very disappointed in almost everything that has taken place with the federal gov't since 1-20-09.
I like the idea that just maybe we rather poor people will see a little reduction in our income tax. Great. Whether you have noticed or not along with a little federal relief, how much your city, county and state taxes are going up.
We screwed again. And, I am afraid it is going to get a heck of a lot worse before it gets better. DAMN.
Amen dun! The underground rumble is that a few of the regionals have been trying hard to repay and are getting no favorable response at all, as its to the advantage of the socialists to keep bad news coming until the midterms in 2010, and losing any control hurts that. I look for a stepped up attack from CEOs denouncing this control, especially if earnings are at or near expected
Well, what's taking them so long to repay it. Three banks did it today.
Fact is that Kelly King is like most conservatives, a hypocrite.
