When I was a manager in a business, if my employee's were as inefficient as most of the postal workers that I knew, they would have been fired immediately. Especially for the salaries P.O. workers receive. Salary and benefits in the P.O. exceed most private employer's benefits. P.O. attorney general was scheduled to receive a big bonus for driving the cost of the P.O. way beyond income. And BO faults private CEO's.
no competition makes any business or venture stagnate. unaccountability makes them not give a crap. funny thing, inspector general attempts to frighten people saying "oh my, we'll have to drop saturday delievery" unless you bail us out. fact is, i could do without junk mail on saturdays. in fact, wouldn't have a problem cutting out tuesday and thursday either. mail 3 days a week is plenty. problem is, even if they did this, they wouldn't fire anyone or save money ... cause they aren't accountable and don't give a crap, still.
