Any one know how many millions of dollars upper echelon management received in increased salary and benefit in a down year -09- compared to salary and benefits of -08 an up year? I think share holders need to start taking a more active role in share holder meetings to address many of these inequities. It's time to bring a stop to share-holder abuse.
Continued: From Charlotte Business Journal. King received: Salary $900,000 bonus $373,691 stocks $582,334 Stock options $881,987 non-equity incentive- $1,020,000 Pension plan change $1,280,000 Other comp $111,676 Not a bad increase in salary and benefits for a poor year performance. Common stock holders took a 75% reduction in dividends because of the poor year. Doesn't seem fair to me.
Did I hear correctly this morning on the news channel that DC is telling the banks not to raise dividends until the economy rebounds? What bull. Banks can give away profits to stadiums, colleges, etc, but not to the "owners".
