Anyone want to guess how many stock options and stock grants that the Board of Directors will award Kelly King for the 2011 performance or lack thereof.
The value of a share of stock has decreased from even 2009. The 2011 ending price was $25.17, 2010 price was $26.29 and the 2009 price was $25.37 according to Yahoo.
Guess the shareholders should be happy with the big dividend increase of 4 cent for the year.
Bet Kelly King does a whole bunch better than that.
Might be the time to replace the BOD and or some of management.
I've been starting to believe that it is just my imagination that the high salaries and benefits that CEO's and other contract upper mgt receive are justified purely by their great leadership abilities.
But, maybe no. I was just listening to Brenda Butler on the financial channel, she stated what I have always suspected. She stated that ususally the members of the B of D's and upper mgt are usually great friends and they take care of each other providing each other great benefits at the expense of the share holders.
She also stated that this is a situation that needs to be addressed by the stock holders. After all it is stock holder money that's the issue.
Do you feel the same about LeBron's contract?
Will be interesting to see. Last year (2010) his pay package doubled from $5 to $10 million.
In 2011 stock dropped from $26.27 to $25.17. Can't wait to see what "The King" will get for his 2011 performance.
His compensation is unethical at best and is at the expense of the rank and file employees and stock holders.

How much are the benefits of the B of D's going up? Most board members know very little about the business and are just figure heads. Think about it.
I am a strong believer in great pay for great performance, but only for great performance. The first rewards from any business goes to the owners not the employees. In this case the owners are the stock holders.
