Using a little common sense, if the person working for you is no good, this fact you have already proven, then it makes sense to get a new employee that you have researched and believe will do better.
As Einstien said an idiot is one who does act A that is a failure and does it over and over hoping for a different result. Keeping the same poor employee hoping he will change is idiotic.
