We are Being Slaughtered Today!
The worry is obviously interest margin - but I don't think it is justified. The hedge funds probably look upon PNC's interest margin decrease as as opportunity to push the Regional Banks down. I think BB&T will do very well, so I bought additional shares today. In the short term, it may have been a bad move. Time will tell. Good luck to all.

  What the crap is going on? I read nothing in the releases to justify a drop of this amount. Is there more that we the little people are not privy to going on?

    Missed EPS by 2 cents, and we lose $1.6B in market cap. Seems a bit extreme. NIM fell by 0.01% from 2nd Qtr.

  I did the same, because BB&T has been growing well in basic consumer banking. But I was also expecting WFC to beat on new originations, and was wrong there, so I could be having a bad couple weeks on bank calls.
