BB&T Corporation Message Board

    Division of profits.

Common stock holders are supposedly the owners of a corporation.
When a corporation's profits come in how are they divided? It appears that upper mgt gets the biggest share followed by the B of D's. Lower class employees get a trickling of the profits. The share holders are at the bottom of the ladder in sharing of the wealth, usually getting none..
I agree that mgt is responsible for the well being of the company, but I do not agree that they deserve such outrageous increases is salary and benefits over all others. CEO and others with million plus dollars yearly income, no way. Just my opinion.

    • Good opinion except CEO in bed with BOD.

      • Upper mgt of every corp is in bed with the B of D's. Think about. Who appoints the CEO? Who recommends member to the B of D's? Usually these people have enough stock and influence to swing any election. It is time for stock holders of every corp to wake up to this collusion supporting arrangement.
I believe mgt deserves a GOOD salary and bonus. Bonus should be tied to common stock, not to profit. Shareholders of every corp needs to wake up. Share holders should have an equal position in the sharing of profits. (CEO and B of D's divvy up the profits, not right.)
