Standalone Version of RedHawk Vision Software to Be Demonstrated at PMA 2001
COSTA MESA, Calif., Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- RedHawk Vision, Inc. today announced that it will demonstrate a standalone version of its previously released Video Pics(TM) plug-in software for Adobe Premiere(R) during the Photo Marketing Association 2001 (PMA 2001) Conference and Trade Show, February 11-14, 2001, in Orlando, FL, Booth #4137 (www.pmai.org). This standalone product will allow the user to extract and produce 35mm quality photographs from digital video sources, without being dependent on third party video editing software. The company will be demonstrating a developmental Mac(R) version of the standalone product at PMA 2001. A Windows(R) version is also currently under development. According to James D. Evert, RedHawk Vision's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, "Our first family of products, Video Pics, has been targeted to meet the needs of the video professional, and these new application software products will initially be targeted at that market as well. However, we believe the functionality and user-friendly interface of the new products will also appeal to the prosumer and consumer, allowing us to move downstream into the next phase of our business." "Video Pics has helped to build interest in and credibility for our first products," said Mark Gart, RedHawk Vision's Chief Marketing Officer. "We believe that our new general purpose software, expected to be available later this year, will generate greater interest in extracting still images from video, especially those missed moments not captured by traditional photography. This will allow us to be better positioned to move into larger markets such as consumer and the Internet."
