    My guess.

By going to the Celsion homepage I learned that their Thermo Dex process somehow encapsulates the anti-cancer drug "doxorubicin" in a heat sensitive liposome which has the ability to concentrate in the liver tumor (cancer). This encapculation is then heated by microwave to a temperature of 39-42*C (just above normal body temp of 37*C), releasing the drug(doxorubicin) at a concentration 25X more than that normally achieved by IV injection only.

My humble guess is: the drug was successfully introduced into the tumor itself, but somehow did not sufficiently get to reduce the tumor.

I think there is a big difference in the procedures employed by Celsion and ONCS:
Inovio's electroporation actually permits the entrance of a "drug" INTO the individual cells to do its "work".

    Just my 2 cents

    Sentiment: Buy

    • I think your missing a point here, electroporation does not permit the drug to enter the cell, but rather enhances its absorption 1000x into the cell, thus shortening the process and decreasing the amount of drug needed to kill the cancerous cell.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

You got it! Plus, nuking the liver can't be good for it or the surrounding tissue. I am amazed they made it to phase III, there had to be a lack of oversight. But, they are being sued, so we will find out the facts in 5-10 years, maybe.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy
