(i) shorts squeeze (characteristics of US markets); (ii) hope (characteristics of human beings); (iii) trying to buy when everything is OK (characteristic of less risky buyers who enter last, property of human being, looking for what is secure); (iv) favorable conjuncture - almost all solar are jumping independent of earnings, following FSLR, SPWR, SCTY, RSOL, WFR, TSL, JSK, etc.
Some problems: (i) the question with the US & EU tariffs is not solved; (ii) the less negative earnings for JASO are result of better ASP in Japan where they sell; (iii) profitability still not resolved; (iv) when FSLR and SPWR jumped they jumped because of positive earnings and guidance, I repeat POSITIVE. Nobody knows which will be the impact of US and EU import tariffs.
didn't JASO confirm their guidance for 2013? the street liked that. this will follow Sunpower's move. look at how quickly they moved to $7-8 and then over $10 to $20. not saying JASO will go to $20 but they will hit $10 before long.
