I invested about $130,000 and got in at $9.55. When I read all the strong buys, and target prices anywhere from $15 to $25, no mention was made of any pending lawsuits, which they ended up settling for $4 million. Their stock is not exactly lighting the world on fire now. Any positive statements, don't seem to generate any reaction.
I got no IPO prospectus, and did not find this particular board until much later. I saw no mention of the lawsuit on investorsvillage. I read glowing articles on Zacks and Seeking Alfa, who made no mention of it. In the old days, stocks used to move on news of price targets given. I should have bought VVUS or OREX.
The articles I read, said it was a good time to get into this stock, to ride out an anticipated run up in the stock price going into their December announcements on their clinical trials. Did they mean the recent announcements which had absolutely no effect on the stock price, except perhaps the recent decline?
