    You gotta laugh...

...when reading about this"MLV" investment banker that OMER negotiated an ATM deal with...on its website, describing these "ATM" transactions, MLV says:

"MLV is the market leader in At-the-Market (“ATM”) offerings. ATM is a shelf based offering which enables a public company to sell registered shares at the then prevailing market price, at the time and in amounts of its choosing. The price and volume of sales in an ATM are solely determined by the issuer."

...of course, note that the shareholders of the "public company" have no say as to when or at what price these shares are sold -- they don't even have to be told about it when it occurs!...how convenient!...HAW!!...

...and examine their clients in these ATM deals:

ASTM, OXGN, CRDC, AEZS, SNTA GERN ACRX CNDO, NVAX, ANTH, PSTI, AGEN, XOMA, SNTI, CVM, PPHM, AGEN, BCRX

...talk about a list of LOSERS!...HAW!!...

...even more interesting is to look at the difference in price before the ATM deal and after...for example, BCRX was trading around $4 a share in 2011 when it did its ATM deal and now trades at around $1.40...I looked at a few others and couldn't find one that was trading higher than it was when it did its ATM deal... BIG surprise, huh?...HAW!!!...

...but hold on!...I did manage to find ONE takeover in the client list!...Pfizer bought Icagen in 2011 for 56 million dollars!...

...of course, when you consider Icagen came public in 2005 with a market cap of around 170 million dollars, the deal sort of loses its appeal, doesn't it?...at least for shareholders!...HAW, HAW, HAW!!!...
