Very interesting. How does something like this work? I assume the Russell index reduced it's amount of FNFG in the index. This would effect index funds that are based on the Russell and have ripling effects. Does the Russell give the fund managers a "heads up" before they rebalance. Based on Friday's volume it appears all the funds were in synch on the sell off. In any event it certainly isn't a plus for the stock.
Part of Russel 2k. Once a year they adjust shares for proper weighting, not sure how they determine that. Being part of an index is a good thing, sure does not hurt, it's still in it just less. But it's really a small part of what moves a stock.
Greedy HEDGE FUNDS and QUICK TRADERS with shorts stops just under the market, all the way down. Start one and they feed on themselves. I was hoping for lower opening! Will probally buy in this range. Div. and Earning come in July. Expect div. to HOLD and earning 15-20 cent range. You will smile within a year!
