The president has already made known he believes our Armed Forces are already 'there'. That there is no need to further spend money here. Just like he did with NASA, which I believe in a few years it will prove fatal to our space leadership, he will cut military spending in his naive way of looking at the world. This will lead to our Armed Forces becoming vulnerable to foreign strategies. While we will start to cut and truncate our technical abilities (who would want to invest and fund R&D with diminishing possibilities of recovering investment and better yet make profits?), our enemies, yes, I said it, our enemies outthere who will gladly see America decimated will continue to look for ways to advance technologically and hit us hard. But back to the financial concern. It is a given, just like NASA, there will be only a few programs to compete for, good for us that the BAE - EADS deal fell thru. In my opinion it is time to further divest and engage into an active diversification acquisition mode. Time to further support our telecommunications segment, there are companies outthere which I consider would be a good fit, VIASAT, the sinergies this would create would be outstanding, our management team would certainly apply our wisdom, methods so their contracts become profitable. CMTL another possibility, more affordable, they are actually profitable with decent amount of cash on hand. I believe that EADS has shown extreme interest in acquiring American companies with solid footing, case in point BAE. DO we believe they will sit put? Lets take the initiative and make a move. Lets bolster our telecommunications segment to counter attack what we know its coming with all armed forces spending.
