WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush on Tuesday called renewed fighting in the Gaza Strip "troubling" but the White House said he received assurances from Israel that it was not targeting Palestinian homes for destruction.
In an election-year appeal to Jewish voters, Bush told members of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee that the Jewish state "has every right to defend itself from terror" and promised to put pressure on European leaders to "renounce and fight any sign of anti-Semitism in their midst."
"You understand that anti-Semitism is not a problem of the past; the hatred of Jews did not die in a Berlin bunker," he told AIPAC, the powerful pro-Israel lobby in Washington.
This man is the President of the United States.
Dude...you need help!
I bet you got a dirty bomb hiding in your closet. with people like you living right here at home, who needs a foreign enemy. The problem with people like you is ignorance, plain and simple.
Not only you can't handle the truth, you don't want to know the truth.
"Love you to death as long as they can get control of your mind, but hate you if they can't control you" I have found many in my life in a small community who use religion to cover incredible bias and stupidity. Looking around it seems to be at the core of hatred within the world. Coulnd't agree more with your posting. As an aside, not much of worth here on SU. Seems that most of these boards have been taken over by the world turmoil that has grabbed everyone's attention and taken it away from what the purpose of these boards was meant to be.
The three great religions of the world trace their way back to their father, Abraham, and yet, they might someday cause the destruction of the entire world. I thought religions were suppose to be all about love, but all I see is a lot of hatred. With religious believers, they apparently love you to death as long as they can control a person's mind, but they seem to hate those they can't get under control. Maybe religion is a paradox of love and hatred? And perhaps that's why I have ambivalent feelings about organized religion. I think we are on the verge of the second three hundred year Crusades, and the religious hatred will only increase with time.
I was repying to nazdacbacks post. Nazdacback claims not to hate the "Jews" only Zionists. Zionists is the anti-semites code word for Jews. They want to "live" in peace with the Jews, but destroy the Zionist State. The only problem with this is that Israel and Zionist State are one in the same. I have many Jewish friends, and I like and respect the Jews, and believe the U.S. should take any military measures necessary to protect Israel, including the nuclear option to destroy the radical Muslim States should they attack Israel.
...kargeta's (sic) BS?
Am-An, you really ought to calm yourself down.
The link I posted was to show the truth of my statement yesterday that not only Muslims live in Palestine, Christians do too, and in other Middle East lands as well. They lived in peace for a longgggg time. If this 'BS' (truth) offends you, then I am truly sorry.
When you look at the battles the Russians have fought with Afgan and Checken rebels, and now the U.S. with Islamic extremeists in Iraq, you have got to admire the Jews fighting and surviving with the enemy right in their midst.
If it wasn't for the US and the "Great Britain", Zionist movement would have lost back in 48 or 65. You know damn well that the only way zionist can survive is because of US military assistant, else they wouldn't last a day.
The only solution is one nation for all. Palestinian and Jews lived there before the European Zionist arrived in Palestine and terrorized the locals.
One more thing, during the height of cold war, these same people you call now "Islamic extrmists," were fighthing the Russians, used to be known as "freedom fighters" by the US and the world.
Currently what you have are bunch of thugs running around killing people. They do not represent Islam. PERIOD.
In Islam you can't kill an innocent person. But the Zionist love to exploit the issue. How wrong they are.
Cut your loses by running away.
In groundpounder's terms "bug out". Now some Texan may tell you cut out a horse and run away but they never even bother to cut out a horse they just skeedaddle.
