Carrefour SA is going down, down, down!!

If you own shares in the ADR shares, you should sell. This company is going down. They don't take care of their American shareholders, four profit warnings, no end in sight to the tailspin. Don't throw bad money after good. Cut your losses now. I just got out after finding out how unresponsive this company is to shareholders besides the two big ones that control the board. Short this one.

    • I do have a major beef with Carrefour SA. I invested in this stock because there was a spin off and dividend involved. All of the information can be gotten from the Carrefour SA website under "100% Dia Spin off." According to the website, anyone holding shares of Carrefour SA as of July 4, 2011 would receive one share of the Spanish hard discount store Dia to be traded on the Madrid stock exchange. These shareholders would also receive a dividend. When I checked my trading account on the 5th of July and for several weeks after, there was no dividend or spin off shares in my account. Also, looking at the Carrefour SA ADR share website under the ticker CRRFY, there was a dividend given on June 29th. This somehow also didn't make it to my account. I tried sending e-mails to Carrefour SA three times with no response and still no money in my account. All the while, the stock is taking a nose dive. If you want to lose your hard earned money to a company that only takes care of the French shareholders and doesn't give a rat's a%% about others, put your money in this stock....One last tidbit: Before the last profit warning was announced, the management was painting a rosy picture with guidance for 2011 as being for good growth. So when the latest profit warning came out, it kind of made me wonder if management was on the up and up. So, to bring this to an end, the future for the company is not as rosy as manangement will have you to believe and if management is not up front and honest and doesn't take care of ALL of the shareholders, you should steer clear of that company. You can do your own research by looking at the Carrefour SA website. P.S. I had invested in the shares of Fosters Beer (an Australian company...Ticker: FGL.AX)through the ADR ticker FBRWY just before the spin off of their wine business (Treasury Wine Estates) in late May and had spin off shares in my account the day of the spin off with no problems or delays. With Carrefour SA, I had to chase people around to find more information that should have been provided by the company in question. This is the end of my rant!!
