Don't know why so many are mixed up about the dividend

    WAC is a REIT - not a C corporation.

A dividend for a C corp is normally a regulary set amount and only in rare instances exceeds 50% of income. A C corporation pays taxes.

A REIT does not pay taxes as long as it pays out 90% of its taxable income out as dividends. The shareholders pay the tax instead.

Therefore, unlike a C corporation, REIT dividends are NOT preset and predetermined amounts, but rather are dependent upon the actual taxable income. Dividends will not be declared until management is able to determine that it will approximate 90% of the taxable income.

All this complaining about why wasn't the dividend announced by the end of the quarter etc. reflects a disturbing lack of understanding of what a REIT is and is not.
