    Bashers out in full force...

LULU bashers. And, not surprisingly, when it fell, someone picked up a lot of OOM calls.

This stock is totally being manipulated by the institutions. It's a joke. But, I go into this eyes wide open knowing what is happening and that there modus operandi is to create swings that make both sides (shorts for now, longs soon) capitulate.

I think the short squeeze will prove to have less teeth than they are expecting. While Columbia Acorn won't be selling, the smaller holders will. 10-20% of shareholders getting out over the next month means the hedgies are going to hold a lot of stock and a LOT of risk.

    • That is only 33,000 shares - is this enough volume to register a short squeeze? I would think it would have to be in the millions to justify. You likely watch it more than I so you likely have more knowledge of what happens.

      • Nope. Not yet. But, I follow the options because what these guys do is use the options as a ratchet both ways. For LULU, I'm not sure the options can move the stock yet. As you pointed out, effective shares influenced by options is pretty small. For Apple and Google, options drive the stock price action. It is ALL about hedgies bullying the stock one way and then the other. NFLX too for that matter.

I am prepared for a short squeeze, but the August trajectory for this stock is strongly downward IMHO. The momo stocks are being setup for a selloff today. Apple and Google are being setup for another squeeze.
