TIF -- Sales in current quarter

TIF - Sales in the current quarter (AUG-OCT) -- On the company’s conference call, Tiffany executives said third-quarter sales are trending above expectations!

The high end consumer is still alive !

It took a MARKET MELT DOWN to get LULU's stock to correct, BUT it will be among the first to recover when the Market comes back.

If you are a doomsday investor -- sell Your LULU and buy GOLD and HOLD CASH....but if you believe these record LOW interest rates will drive Businesses and Consumers to spend again, LULU will be a great investment.

    • 1) Gold/silver prices are way up.

      2) Tiffany's stuff has inherent value -- the engagement rings are massively overpriced, but 10 years, you can sell them for a 50% haircut.

      Ditto with silver and crystal.

What do you think a sweaty luon yoga pant is worth in 10 years?

      • Thwackamole - I don't think that your idea of "inherent value" has anything to do with the success or failure of any company, product, service or stock. If your buy a new car today - or even a new IPAD . . . in 10 year - what will it be worth . . . about the same as the old pair of yoga pants. People spend money on alot of things - some makes sense, some don't (also depends who's definition of "makes sense").

Your first comment about Gold/Silver Prices made me think. So I ran a chart comparing GLD to LULU - you may be surprised. Except for very recently - LULU has outperformed the GOLD ETF in the past 6 months, YTD, 1 year, 2 years, and even 5 years. Same with Silver.

        Respectfully . . .
