US Economy continues to improve !

Nobody on this board is very happy.. glass half empty kinda crowd.

the US Economy is becoming the engine of growth for the world. A Global Asset Mix shift to US Equites will continue.

Technology is taking centre stage.. watch the halo effect of Facebook, Apple, spreading good news in California... one of the largest economies in the World !!

ZERO inventory of homes to buy in Palo Alto - bidding wars. San Fran Office rents up 17% y/y

Retail sales are due out tomorrow.. they will show continued growth.

China's slower growth is good news for the US - since we use them as our manufacturing base -- excess mfg supply in China, will cause US Import prices to fall.

Good luck to all the bulls (although there are few on this board).

    • We are focused on real and not nominal growth...

I am a long term bull on the US, but not the equity markets, especially speculative MOMO stocks like this one.

Over time, the US will do better than any other economy (including China which has a demographic cliff that will be extraordinarily difficult to manage) but that doesn't mean that equity markets will perform well. In fact, it is likely to be the opposite. The US economy will do well when capital actually starts getting INVESTED in productive assets again (which will hurt profits and equities in the short to medium term) and not rapidly moved from one speculative trade to the next...

    • Well said...Those are the facts, but as you said, others here don't agree. I daytrade either way and go with the flow, but have a separate long position in Lulu and Aapl and couldn't be happier and use both methods of trading to offset each other where needed.
