I always look on the pond before I jump...on the surface this company is doing a great business, and indeed it has no long-term debt, however the earnings per share, in spite of the increased revenue from sales has gone down. The burning question is If the future of this company is so great WHY directors Costin and Pitcher, and officers Waterson and Day spent the last month SELLING their stock ?. Granted they can do whatever they want with their property. As the reason to own stock in a company is to hold it and let it appreciate in value why are the insiders selling?. Is there a storm brewing in the horizon?..I can't avoid thinking about Crocks a few years back as we witnessed its rise and demise based on a fashion trend .The P/E ratio is still too high for me.I don't want to be caught using the rest room when the tsunami comes.
You make some good observations. I no of no other clothing retailer and very few fast growing tech outfits with a price to sales ratio of 8. Perhaps the insiders are wise to take some money off the table.
The naysayers and shorts just look at the PE ratios , etc. They know next to nothing about the co (LULU). Ask anyone that shops at LULU; it is not a CROX. LULU is not a fad. A woman feeling good about how she looks is not a fad. You are comparing apples to oranges. But in the end all the naysathers will help propel LULU to the 80-90 range by the spring. So we welcome negatively.
