Due to announcement that the CEO is leaving...did the ceo do all the marketing product development selling advertising for lulu? Is none of the structure she is leaving behind of any value? I think a 25% correction on the ceo leaving, but only after a replacement is identified is an over reaction...I took a position in lulu for the first time today. I do not think people are buying the product because of the CEO. All that said...what would be a better time for lulu to be bought out? Does Nike or another name brand athletic company take them out? Lulu is the leader in the category...Nike could only make it that much bigger
Been here done it before. Then it was HD early 90's. Just started opening stores in NE, market liked what it saw. When the valuations went up week after week, any bump in head lines brought the stock down. Market did not look forward enough. It knew growth was scheduled, but there was a recession in housing. Store managers made the decisions in each store, thats what aloud the #'s to keep growing. Each store adjusted to local needs.
Not saying LULU will have as good a chart 20 years from now, as that of HD. But until the company makes a real change to current policies, I will stay long with my main position. Having a fare amount on the side for trading.
Im not convinced correction is entirely her departure guess sometime itll be out but motley fool posted article today asking same question i did last week. Go look its titled IS IT TRUE and even if not ride it like nflx gmcr shld appl last year dont fight the trend fat cats like retail money
Is that the brilliant article that called yoga a fad. It has only been around for about 5000 years. Rely on that type of idiocy and you will get burned. By that way they sell a lot more than just yoga pants.
