How does UA not make an offer on LULU? Their P/E is insane which would help the economics a lot for them. They have a weak brand with the ladies....this would be a perfect match. Buy when your currency is strong.
I don't know if the shareholders will approve. UA might have an insane P/E (LULU would need to be at $180 to match -- sick) but I don't think that the price is liquid. In other words, if UA does it and a quarter of LULU shareholders then try to sell out, UA's price would be affected by a very large amount, maybe 50-70%... but maybe this is moot in today's "new (ponzi) economics"!
The only similarity is that both brands sell workout gear. Just got back from A lulu store and their
stylists are to UA stylists as Dior is to Gap. No comparison. Yes, the price point is high, but there are enough wealthy women who want to be as fashionable when they workout - and that for many of us is every day - to get this co back on its feet. I sold 1/2 my stock when it fell out of bed, but am buying it back on Monday.
