As the U.S. peso weakens, watch IBM SOAR!!!!!!! BIG BLUE SKIES AHEAD!!!
I already answered that - it's the same person. But thanks for the compliment.
When Garce, Mr. Dinky-Do and WW post, I read and try to understand although usually way over my head. So, I've bought a little IBM every year for the past five years or so and I'm very very happy with the result. I've just let it ride. My problem is its in a SEP act and one of these days I'm going to have to start taking it out. But a good problem to have.
No, he's bigger than that.
Oh -- ok you're now mr big.
The onit guy, in addition to being a top investor/trader and IT expert, was also a nazi hunter.
Does that go for you too mr big?
1. Their manufacturing is all overseas - there's no particular benefit from a weak dollar.
2. Taxes paid around the world are paid in foreign currencies so the weak dollar can hurt
3. Revenue keeps shrinking - the stock is way inflated against previous years at these revenue levels
4. The market is discounting the PE to reflect cost cutting versus top line revenue growth
5. Intel revenue and earnings were down from the previous year and they are not forecasted to reach 2008 levels until the end of 2010 - Why is IBM any better than Intel?
6. Oracle missed both earnings and revenue - why is IBM better than Oracle?
6. Oracle missed both earnings and revenue - why is IBM better than Oracle?
If you have to ask that question, then I would suggest that
you limit your investing to searching for the best CD's and
buy those, keep rolling them over ...
Hey "mr big" you need to bone up on foreign currency translations. You ain't got it right.
IBM's valuation is in no way inflated compared to the past several years. IBM dumped $15 bil of low profit revenue and is replacing it with high margin sales. IBM's profitability has not been higher in the last 10 years -- IBM's valuation has deflated. That's a reason why most think there is room to run.
