I'm wondering too. Unfortunately it seems as though most message boards are filled with illiterate morons who can"t write a cohesive sentence and have no worthwhile information. I've owned this stock over 25 years and have held back from selling the last two times it hit 215, I think I will get out next time and get back in lower.
This afterhours action is not new. Its been going ion for some time. I wonder if it has to due the buyback program of IBM. I don't know the volume of stock being traded afterhours. Any incite would help
It's ACN -- Accenture. It just posted results and revenue was weaker than expected and they took their full year est down. Their consulting fees were down -- their EPS range had a low of $4.24 and the new range has a high of $4.22 -- so it's hard to say but it looks like about a $.10 EPS reduction on about a base of $4.30 so about a 2.5% reduction.
It's going to hurt IBM. ACN has been a much better performer than IBM in the last 18 months. And I believe it has around a 16 p/e so better growth has been expected for ACN over IBM.
We'll see -- IBM has looked weak in the last few days -- looks like a haircut tomorrow.
I can only reply by saying DUUUUUUUUUH whats an Accenture.. I didn't know those Irish jerk O ___F F __s were releasing earnings.. And I OWN ACN...I lost a little on IBM . Not much. A couple quick trades saved me.. I'm OUT. I don't want to think about it this weekend. Phooey on it!
