    Warren Buffet is very smart

When you look at his 13F filling for IBM they are mostly amendments from Mar 11 -June 30 effective date. amounting to around 60-65% of his purchases
Those purchase prices average around 165
9-30's fillings may have been for less... but no more than around 170.

Since then Warren as rolled his dividends to more stocks so at his price he has seen a min 5% gain in value through dividend reinvestment alone

THAT is Buffet not you or I. He knew damn well that when he announce his stake in IBM the sheep would follow and drive the price up giving him some wiggle room

AS is if you IBM not announce a dividend or if the price stays static and dividend are not raise..

Sell before the sheep sell when Buffet will lower his stake

and when the sheep sell buy and see the stock rise

    sell again and leave
