    • Gogo. come on down to Tucson. It looks like there is snow up on top of the Catalinas and Rincons. It's really nice to be able to see it without freezing your tushy off. Spent too much time in the north country shoveling snow (Poughkeepsie area most of my life).
Watch the blue pig, it's gonna keep climbing (much to Tek's dismay).

Here's a blond joke for you:

A highway patrolman pulled alongside a speeding car on the freeway. Glancing at the car, he was astounded to see that the blonde behind the wheel was knitting! Realizing that she was oblivious to his flashing lights and siren, the trooper cranked down his window, turned on his bullhorn and yelled, "PULL OVER!"

"NO," the blonde yelled back, "It's a cardigan!"

    • If highonblue will allow me to "stick my nose" in this PUBLIC BOARD's messages:

highonblue showed he is not ignorant by being able to access the constitution on the web and exercise his incredible cutting and pasting capabilities (the Owl knows a little about this) to demonstrate how versed he is on our constitution.

      Please...stick to IBM talk highonBLUE.

    • chain? Didn't know I was addressing you. I don't think I said or even implied that I was quoting from the constitution now did I? Yes I paraphrased from the Declaration of Independence to make a point. Which obviously escaped you. However if you'd like an exact quote from the preamble 'OF THE CONSTITUTION' from memory......

"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this constitution for the United States of America."

Wow does this prove I have a penis NIMROD? For whatever it means to you for sticking your nose into the discussion, the preamble implies many of the same principles I was alluding to in citing the wording from the Declaration of Independence.

If you need for me to be more precise in citing the exact article we were discussing that would be Article 1 section 2. "
[Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to
their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a
Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons.]* The actual Enumeration shall be made within three
Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they
shall by Law direct. The Number of Representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty Thousand, but each State shall have at Least one
Representative; and until such enumeration shall be made,....."

Anything else that I need to be more precise about????

The subject at hand Article 2 Section 1` Declares:

    • Well put and quite accurate.

    • Probably because modern mathamatical methods ain't worth a flip. see polls and Chicago elections. Yes they did count the same way we do now - with local people counting local people. I'm sure we missed a few buffalo hunters along the way.
